My Zone EP00
Periferie di Milano in un podcast

Through personal memories, reflections, and analysis, Selam Tesfai and Ariman Scriba recount the streets, stories, and struggles of their neighborhoods—San Siro and Quarto Oggiaro, on the outskirts of Milan—without filters or prejudice, inviting us to join them on this journey.

My Zone EP01
le vie della musica

This episode explores the new Italian hip-hop scene, in which rappers of immigrant backgrounds who grew up in Italian suburbs are gaining visibility and resonance.

My Zone EP02
Dalle Popolari alle Popo

The Tenants' Union was formed in Quarto Oggiaro in the 1970s. It is a union that still deals with housing rights throughout Italy. In 2013, the Spazio del Mutuo Soccorso (Mutual Aid Space) was established in San Siro. This huge space was taken away from real estate speculation and returned to the citizens. This is the starting point for exploring the theme of living in Milan.

My Zone EP03
Marginalità ai Margini

Selam and Ariman reach the end of this journey rich in memories and stories that connect them to their neighborhoods. They share with us a sincere and intimate picture of the challenges faced by young racialized people in seeking psychological support on the margins of big cities.
